33 The Series is a video series designed to inspire and equip men to pursue authentic manhood as modeled by Jesus Christ in His 33 years on earth. The series features timeless truths updated and expanded from the original Men’s Fraternity curriculum, a multi-generational and diverse teaching team, engaging roundtable discussions, exclusive interviews with experts, moving testimonies, documentaries, and other creative elements.

33 The Series is not just a Bible study—it is a manhood study that provides gospel-centered, biblical, and practical answers to the questions men are facing.

33 The Series is designed to be viewed on video by a group of men, who use training guide outlines to take notes while watching the teaching. Following the video, the men should form discussion groups and process what they have learned using the discussion questions provided in the 33 The Series Training Guide.

Discussion groups should contain 4-8 men. 45 minutes to one hour should be provided for the discussion time.

At the end of the discussion time, men should be encouraged to write down one key take away from that week’s lesson. A form is provided in the 33 The Series Training Guide for this, called “My Strategic Move.”

Most 33 groups meet weekly for six weeks, doing one session per week. If weekly is not possible, the study can be done over a weekend.

As a leader, your role is to organize and host the 33 The Series group/event. You do not have to teach or present content; that is all done for you through the video and training guide.

Most 33 sessions begin with a short introduction and welcome by a leader who has already viewed all six sessions of the series. Following the viewing of the video session, the host may share a brief word regarding how God spoke to him during that session. The openness and transparency of the host can help each man feel comfortable sharing openly during his small group time.

Yes, each man needs his own copy of the 33 The Series Training Guide. The training guide contains readings to be done at home in between group sessions as well as reflection questions and prompts for personal study. It will be difficult to get the full experience of the resource without each man having his own training guide. The men in your church may purchase the resource directly, or the church can purchase in bulk and give or sell the resource to the men in your church.

Not at all! Though the series was designed with the needs of churches in mind, 33 The Series has been used in businesses, men’s groups, the military, and any place men gather together to grow and encourage each other. It is adaptable to any group format.

There are six volumes of 33 The Series. Each one covers a different aspect of a man’s life. Though we recommend starting with Volume 1 and going in order, this isn’t required.

The first volume of 33 The Series, “A Man and His Story,” helps men heal from the hurts of their past and move forward on the journey to Authentic Manhood following the model Jesus Christ gives us in His 33 years on earth.

Session One: Looking Back
In this session, men are challenged to look back over their life experiences to understand how the people and the experiences of their past have led them to the place they are presently. By understanding and responsibly dealing with their past, they can begin to enjoy God’s best for their future.

Session Two: Dad
In this session, men are asked to take a hard look at their relationship, or lack of relationship, with their father. Men are challenged to honestly examine how their life has been shaped by their father. Session 4 (Healing) will examine how they can find healing from any hurts inflicted by their dad and move forward toward resolving these hurts.

Session Three: Mom
In this session, men examine their relationship with their mother and how this relationship may affect their relationship with their wife or future wife. Session 4 (Healing) will address ways to find healing from any unaddressed mother issues.

Session Four: Healing
In this session, men are guided through a process that can help them heal from a father or mother wound. This session provides practical steps that can help restore relationship with dad or mom. These steps will greatly help men forgive nd move forward.

Session Five: All-Alone
In this session, men are exposed to the dangers of living life alone. They receive instructions on how to break out of their isolation and establish honest and open relationships with other men that will bless and energize their life.

Session Six: Heart
In this final session, men will learn the importance of feeling their feelings, telling the truth to themselves, and others and living truly from their heart. Only through a heart relationship with Jesus Christ and others can men experience a life of truth, passion, and purpose as they were created to live.
